Ingredients
  

  • For the Beef
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • For the Sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • For Serving
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Green onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and garlic. Let it cook without stirring for a few minutes to build flavor.
  3. Break the beef apart and cook until no pink remains.
  4. Drain excess fat from the pan.
  5. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and pepper.
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and stir well.
  7. Let it simmer for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly thick.
  8. Serve over rice and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
