Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger grated (or 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • A pinch of ground turmeric
  • A pinch of cinnamon optional
  • 1 cup warm water not hot

Method
 

  1. In a cup, add the honey first.
  2. Squeeze in the lemon juice.
  3. Add the grated ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon if using.
  4. Pour warm water into the cup. Make sure it is warm, not boiling, to protect the nutrients in the honey.
  5. Stir until everything is fully dissolved.
  6. Drink slowly on an empty stomach, ideally in the morning.
