Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon dried dandelion root or 2 tablespoons fresh chopped root
  • 1 tablespoon dried dandelion leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh or dried dandelion flowers
  • 2 thin slices fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • Optional raw honey for sweetness

Method
 

  1. Add dandelion roots and water to a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a light boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add dandelion leaves, flowers, and ginger.
  5. Cover and steep for another 10 minutes.
  6. Strain into cups and stir in fresh lemon juice.
  7. Add raw honey if desired and serve warm.
