Ingredients
  

For the Burger
  • 2 large croissants
  • 200 g ground beef 80/20
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
For the Caramelized Onions
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp water
For the Sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp tomato paste
  • ½ tsp sriracha
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika

Method
 

Prepare the sauce
  1. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, tomato paste, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl. Set aside.
Cook the onions
  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft. Add sugar and balsamic vinegar. Cook 3–4 minutes. Add water, cover, and cook 15–20 minutes until tender.
Shape and cook the beef
  1. Form 2 beef balls. Heat a pan until hot. Place the beef and press down firmly once. Cook 1 minute. Flip, add cheese, cover, and cook until melted.
Toast the croissants
  1. Slice croissants and toast the inside in a pan with a little butter until lightly golden.
Assemble the burger
  1. Spread sauce on the bottom half. Add the patty with melted cheese, then onions. Close and serve immediately.
